cd player removal

I have a 2006 ranger, and i want to install my amps and sub from my pathfinder into my new ride. I can't figure out how to get at the back of the factory deck. There is no bezel for the radio and the dash seems pretty molded..Do I have to take out the grey trim that goes around by the sterring wheel and the AC vents out or are there special tools that are used to pull the head unit forward.

also look right below your radio there are two bolts...remove them... then remove the whole bezel with the radio in it ... on each side of the radio there are clips you can push in to remove the radio.

lol..funny you mention that!!! the clip on the right side of the radio (as you are looking at it) broke on me, so that was the only way i could get my radio out!!!

no bolts/ screws i have checked.... it looks like i will need to get the removal tools. Anywhere i can try online to grab them as they are more than likely not to be found anywhere on the island{price we pay for living in the tropics.

okay i looked at ford.com and the 06 radio bezel is the same as mine...where the red circles are there should be 2 bolts/screws or 2 holes on the lower edge of the plastic piece...

if there are bolts/screws remove them...if there are holes then you can just grip the edges of the bezel and give it a good tug...it will will come off with the radio attached
