Hey everyone i have a 98 ranger and the center console is almost toast. I have only had it for a short time and the previous owner tore it up probably from getting in and out but i was wondering where i could a new lid for it? Any ideas would be great. Thanks.

If it's the bench seat console lid, it's about 200 from a dealer If you are gonna pay anything near that look for an Explorer console(if you like 'em).

 

Yeah, anytime I'm trying to find an Explorer Center Console thats all I get for the damn results

 

I have a destroyed Center Consol LID also on a 98 XLT ... The rest of the box (consol) is in excellent shape.... How can we make these lids from scratch ? Has anyone done a nice job of making one with it able to latch ?

Not sure ... But I don't think a Explorer Lid is the same... doesn't it hinge from the back... On a 98 Ranger the hinge is on the Passenger side of the lid... Also... it seems to be rectangle in shape.. doesn't a Explorer lid have a taper towards the front of the lid ?

Anyone Made a lid that works good with the side factory latch ?
