Icon5 Changes to the 2008 Door wiring harness

Does anyone know if a 2008 door wiring harness is different from a 2007 door wiring harness since they changed the door switches in 2008?
The reason I am asking this question is because I have a 2007 door wiring harness plugged into a 2009 in-dash wiring harness and the window regulator on the driver's side is not getting any power but the one on the passenger side is getting power.
I tested the window switch and the power window motor and they are good so it must be in the wiring.

Yes. Most of the users here are just asking questions. There are very few people who can answer questions here, and even fewer know anything about altering these trucks in the way you mention.

The best answer to the question o can come up with is to get ahold of a wiring diagram for your year and the year of the donor part and see if pinout locations changed.it could be possible just to move a couple pins around to get them to function.

Hey there,

Thanks for chiming in … I started to get the feeling that I was just talking to myself on here … LOL … Do you think there's more people on TheRangerStation that could answer my questions? At this point I'm almost thinking that I would get more answers if I posted my questions up on the F-150 Forums.
I remember Ron being very knowledgeable with this kind of stuff, but I guess he doesn't even get on here anymore. Do you think it would be ok to send him a direct message?
I guess another problem is that most of the members on here are millennials (I'm not talking about you, because you don't act like a millennial) and most millennials these days wouldn't spit on someone if they were on fire.

Hey Dewey,

Thanks for responding to my question. I just recently bought a set of damaged 2011 door to get all the innards out of and I noticed that they totally changed the door plugs in 2010, so I'm definitely going to be picking up a 2011 Wiring Diagrams manual so I'll be able to match up the wires.
The strange part about the whole thing is that Ford changed the door panel switches in 2008 so my question is "Why in the hell did they not change the plug in 2008?" Ford does the weirdest things for no reason at all. Sometimes I think they just do it to f*** with people's minds … who knows?

You hit the nail on the head, most pre-2011 Ranger owners these days are kids. Long gone are the days of 2008 or so when this forum was booming and people were actively modifying these trucks.
