Check out these guages

http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/Needles.htm

I found this link on rangerpowersports earlier today. I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the needles illuminate like the ones they show.

I bought 100 ultra bright blue leds, 100 ultra bright white leds, 30 purple leds, and 30 ultra bright red leds. I am thinking about getting some el wire ( http://www.elwirecheap.com/ ) and using it behind my gauges. I am not sure how it will look but I have 4 feet someone gave me in some ugly green color that I might put in to see how it turns out. I will be messing with that this weekend.

i actually like how the 04+ guages look, with the red needles. I just hate the green. Sometime this summer, i'm gonna get rid of all the green, make it all white. And keep the red needles.

I have been debating the colors of my guages. I dont know if I want white numbers or blue numbers. I would leave the needles red but I am trying to get rid of all green and red lights in my truck. So its gonna be either white numbers with blue needles or blue numbers with white gauges. I might try them both to see what i like the most.

When I frequented my rice Forum site some guys had bought those from that site and said they were crap. It would be easier and cheaper just to do your own, that way you could get it exactly how you wanted it. I plan on swapping mine to a full red setup in the near future. Along with the Halo mod among a few others.

1 Big & 2 Small Blue Needle Kit, Bulbs & White Gauges
but you can order more needles if need be... its actually not that bad of a pice if you consider that some white gauges cost about 60$

I want to try and make my needles light up bright like those. I was thinking about getting some uv paint and painting the backs of the needles and throwing some Black light leds behind the needles. It might look good. Once I take out my gauges I am going to try a bunch of stuff. I have some el wire to test and a bunch of leds. I also have some 10 mm 149 led bulbs coming in from hong kong. I bought 10 white and 10 blue for a total of 20 dollars, 10 dollars to ship it to the us and 10 for the bulbs. I am also going to scan my gauges when I take them out and make a custom gague overlay.
