Hello everyone I have finally completed my install and all so far so good. I will be uploading plenty of vids to my youtube account and plenty of pics. It was actually a easy install with the fact that I was a newb at it. If their is anyone looking to do this the OEM way and not aftermarket lmk as I have access to alot of power windows rangers.

Special Thanks: To JOHN AKA WVCAT What a guy as he never hesitated to pick up the phone or return a call even send me a donor harness which is in the ranger. I am honered to have met him. Now John and I can start modding like crazy. I will post more tomorrow.

 

nice :D cant wait for the vids and picts. I'm hopeing you will have some of how you installed the power locks/actuators? my passenger side actuator is busted on my 2000 ranger but I haven't been able to figure out how to get the old one out yet. Maybe seeing one put in will help

Your very welcome Martine! The actuators changed somewhere around 98-2000. Some are held with a bolt or rivet on the outside below the latch. The plastic ones clip onto the bottom of the latch.

yea it really does and thanks. right now im taking more pics and trying to do a full movie clip by adding all the video clips i took while recording the whole process. i also just got my oem graphite grey color carpet/ 100sq feet of fatmat which im about to install. then on to the paint job. :)

 

Gosh dangit i wanna do this soooooo bad!!! complete with the factory keyless fob!

 

Its a pita but well worth it.

 

you can as i am going back to the yard tomorrow and they have a complete ranger with power everything. i could get it for you.

Get to posting the how to, already! I just went to a salvage yard that had an FX4 with power everything. I was contemplating buying the whole interior and power lock/window parts.

Screw the OEM key w/ seperate fob. Fusion key w/ built in fob for the TMFW!!

Notice the key in the picture? The remote buttons are built into the Key. He was suggesting to say screw the keyfob with buttons, use a key WITH buttons instead. The new 2010 Mustangs have those keys as well as the Ford Fusions too.

 

Thanks for clarifying my post Shane. In addition:

The new style keys (Fusion, Edge, Taurus, Mustang, etc) will only work with 2001+ Rangers due to the embedded PATS chip.

I love the key...awesome...too bad my trucks are 2000 and older $%#$@#
