When I take the key out of my 1999 Ranger, the door dinger keeps dinging when the door is open. What do I have to do to make it ding just when I put the key in it with the door open. Also, 10 MPH through 60 MPH lights are out on my speedometer. Is this a light I need to replace or a fuse that had gone bad. All the other lights work. Thanks for you help! ranger1999xlt

 

I have the same problem with my 99. I found that if you push in on the ignition after you take the key out it will stop dinging.

 

do you open your door before you take your key out??

 

the 99 doesn't have the switch in the door jam right? if it doesn't then pull out the ignition and break off the orange plastic piece that is attached to it. also break off the little brass piece inside of the hole in the steering column.
