Door Panels
Door Panels
I want to add power windows/locks/mirrors to my 2001 standard cab Edge. Looks like there is no place to add the switchs on my door panels. What years will interchange from Rangers and/or Explorers? Are doors on standard cab and extended cab the same?

Ford made two different manual door panels for the ranger, ones that look exactly like the power door panels, and ones that are all plastic (no vinyl or cloth at the top) with no storage at the bottom. I'm not sure if they used the "nicer" non-power panels on the Edges but my 2000 XLT has them and I am doing a power conversion on my truck, all I had to get are the switch bezels and switches. So if you have the cheaper panels then you'll need new panels, if you have the nicer manual panels- you'll just need to get the bezels with switches. I believe 95-Current ranger door panels will fit, but I dont believe that explorer panels will, good luck.
Damn I just sold a door panel and switches and bezels to somebody last week, I woulda sold em to you if I still had them. Keep an eye out on ebay, there are some on there every once in a while, as well as switch bezels and such, Good luck to ya.
