door vinyl

I am getting ready to paint my interior but have a question. On my truck, not sure how it is on other rangers, I have a piece of soft vinyl on the top of the door bout the black handle, arm rest. i will be using an adhesion promoter, SEM Dark Graphite and SEM Landau black paint. is ok to paint that part or because it is soo soft and pourous it will mess it up? I would like to paint it but if it will screw things up then I won't.

I'd re-cover the piece in black vinyl. I can't imagine paint sticking ot it long term.

it sticks alright. I didnt use an adhesion promotor and theres only a few spots where the paint peeled off. If I had to do it again though I would revocer it in cloth or new vinyl though.

that's what i thought; just peel right off. well, i'm gonna have to put off painting anyway...i got a speeding ticket from a trooper(he SAID 80 in a 65 but i always have cruise control on at night on 75 and he said tailgating but taht was BS anyway. i didnt question him cause it was 4am and i didnt really care) friday night and it will cost about 150 to do defensive driving and right now i need the 130 i spent on paint and stuff. so yea, blows but a ticket is more important than a purty interior. lol
