Expo Hood Hinges??

Just gonna copy the description of how to do it
1st off, you don't need to modify these hood hinges at all. Just get 2 driver's side. I don't remember what years, but you have the right one already.
The Ranger hood hinges are spot welded to the firewall, along with 2 bolts. Remove the nuts and break the welds. ( I used a small chisel) There is a small plate behind the firewall (thats what the hinge is spot welded to), break that spot weld and pull that plate out. (It's a pain, but it does come out)
After that take your Exp hinge and line it up with the 2 holes the old hinge was bolted thru and mark the other holes. (for drilling)
I went with bigger bolts than what was used before. Only because I had them in the garage. You can go with the same size as what the Ranger stud was and about an inch and 1/2 in length. You can cut them down later. There is one bolt that kept giving me troubles, the one right over the heater fan on the passenger side. It's has to be shorter because of lack of room around the fan.
There are a couple of ways to keep the bolts in place before you get the nuts on them. I made a plate (a little longer than the holes from the top to the bottom of one side of the hinge) and welded the bolt heads to it. (I'll check to see if I have any pics of it) That way I could slide the plate thru the opening where the hinge would go and the bolts stuck thru the holes on each side. I made 4 plates 2 for each plate. Once I stuck the bolts/plate thru then I put a small clip on the bolts to hold the plate to the firewall. If you don't, the hinge pushes the bolts back thru the firewall and under the cowl area. The cowl DOESN"T come off on my truck ('01) So you need a way to hold the bolts as you put the hinge up to the firewall and screw the nuts on.
If you use 2 driver's side hinges the hood lines right up to the hinges. No bending, cutting, or drilling needed. Bolts right up.
Align hood as normal.
Sorry for the novel...
