Fixed my stuck power electric seat today!

Just got through fixing my stuck electric seat that wouldn't move forward. Turns out there's a plastic coated rail that holds the seat belt to let it slide back and forth on the seat. The plastic coating was worn badly, preventing the seat from being adjusted. This was bad because a tall person owned it before me and it was stuck too far back for me to reach the clutch properly. I thought the piece would have to be replaced but instead I was able to trim enough plastic off with a razor knife to allow the seat to move.

There are 4, 13mm bolts holding the seat on, which are easy to remove normally but hard when you can't slide the seat out of the way. There is also a #50 Torx bolt under some plastic that holds the rail that the seat belt slides on and 2 electrical connectors. One for the power to the seat and one for the seat belt warning buzzer.

When I put the seat back on I had to loosen all the bolts to get them started. I also needed to align the very last bolt with a Phillips to get the bolt to go back in. So if you're doing it you might want to just get all the bolts started before you begin tightening them.
