getting the "rubbery stuff" off the bezel?
Has anyone found a good way to do this? Mine is getting scratched up, and I could get it replaced under warranty but I know it will just get scratched up again... is there a good way to just remove this stuff and have the black plastic underneath? I don't mind the glossy look of the black plastic.

You might want to try using Simple Green. I have used it to strip paint on model cars because it won't hurt the plastic...at least it has never hurt the plastic anytime I have ever used it. It might take a while, but I bet it would get it off. Simple Green doesn't have a lot of fumes either and is biodegradeable.

Then try using a non volatile solvent (like simple green) and use a credit card (or similar) to scrape it off with out scratching the bezel plastic.
Good luck!
