Good interior ideas?

I am wanting to do some work on my interior to make it look better because its just the plain jane interior(vinyl seats, vinyl floor, radio, not much to look at) So what would be some good stuff to do to make my interior look better?

Let's see... off the top of my head...

OHC Mod
Obligitory "illuminated shifter" mod if you have a manual trans.
Mustang Dome Light Mod
Explorer center console

Not much but it's a start for options.

Personally, one thing I would not do is paint the interior. I did it in my S10 and loved it at first. Then, a few months later it started to chip and flake. It would be like added maintainence for you. But thats just my story. Other people love it.

If you paint the interior correctly, itll hold up for a long long time. I painted my radio bezel almost 3 years ago with John Deere Blitz Black. It still looks as good as the day after it dried. It's all about the prep work. Sanding, oil/grease remover/cleaner, adhesion promoter, quality paint, clear if you want. I didnt do clear.

I'd Do:
Explorer Overhead Console (OHC)(Not only is it cool...but it also adds ALOT more light in the cab.)
Ranger cloth Buckets(will bolt right in)
SPORT gauges(white faced)
After market head unit

It looks as though your truck might be a XL, usually means it's a 5spd manual....So i'd put in a Ranger shorty console. If you have an auto, how about a explorer full length console.

Do some searching for the pics...all those mods are fairly common on this site and rps.

you will regret anything that doesn't look stock after a month or 2.

no paint, no cathodes, no cutting hacking or anything.

If you put Cathodes on a switch and mount them correctly then you will not even know their there. Speaking of which I need to install my OHC.

The one I would recommend the most is the Mustang Dome light, you can get it for like 25 bucks and it adds a lot more to the truck, looks good and is super functional.

Cold Cathodes were the first mod I did when I got my Ranger. They are on a switch and wired to only be turned on when the headlights are on. very well hidden as well. After a month I never turned them on and I always forget they are there.
