How much of the Explorer interior fits/plugs in, in the Ranger? Lets say both vehicles are same year, same color.
I am asking about, seats, door panels, electronics, window regulators, window door controls.
Any place to find out this info or does anyone have some experience with up grading the ranger with explorers interior parts and pieces?

Just the instrument cluster from 1996-2001 models
Seats fit but depends on the years if they just bolt in or you have to swap tracks, plan on swapping tracks, and extend cabs only, the explorer seats can be too tall and thick to fit in regular cab Rangers and still have leg room

None of the other panels fit or any of the door parts

 

thanks for your reply, was just wondering if I was going to upgrade my '03 XL Ranger maybe the Explorer would work. I guess I will have to look for XLT Ranger parts if I want to upgrade to keyless entry, door locks, power windows etc.

 

Better to use 3rd party keyless entry system, once you have power door locks, the Ford system would be hard to integrate, it wasn't an added "option", a different cab wiring harness and body computer are used

The 1993 to 2011 Rangers used the same power window and door lock setups also door panels, so easy to swap over and just add fused 12volt and ground
Front Doors are the same size as well, regular or extended cab, 2door or 4door
So you can swap the whole door over

Mazda B-series trucks also have the same guts inside the door and panels will fit but are a little different, outside of door won't match ranger lines
