I'm in search of information about the headliner in my 1998 ranger xl standard cab. I searched aftermarket sites, cannot find any reference for a 1998 headliner. all references are for 93-97. Can anyone tell me if the 1998 is the same as the 1997 headliner?

 

I'm having the same problem with my 2003.

I'm finally breaking down and buying the repair kit from Amazon because my searches have produced no valid results :(

I feel your pain. Can't answer your question as I've had the same lack of search results. I was looking to replace mine outright. Since I haven't found anything I've pulled my headliner out. I have a 1998 xlt extended cab. I'm in process of removing the old material. There is a fiberglass shell under the fabric and backing that I'm slowly scraping clean. I did find headliner material at a local fabric store and headliner glue. When I put the headliner back in I'm adding insulation/sound proofing between the headliner and roof.
