Is there a kit? What will I need? I have a 2006 Ranger Sport 4X4.

 

eBay has kits to covert windows theres a universal kit If u can't find ur model.

 

Go to a JY and find a truck similar to yours, check out the systems, then remove everything you will need.

I got lucky and got a set of doors off a similar Ranger with all of the pwr options.
I will take my time and move all of the electrical part from one to the other.

 

If I buy the kit where can I buy new door panels?

 

If your local JY has an XLT Ranger just get the panels and the switches, mod the switches to fit your new kit.
Look for panels that fit your color interior don’t paint.

 

Depends on wat u want some Kits come with a switch that pops in where ur manual crank is but if You have the money go to the jy and get a set of door panels it looks better

 

A kit where the button goes where the crank used to be? Hmmmmm...

 

Don't buy those pos universal kits off ebay. Pure junk, one week and the gears broke on the inside. Take a drill with a 1/2" drill bit and go to the junkyard and get the window regulator and motors out of a truck there. Three to four rivets hold the window regulator to the door and then it just slides right off the windows track. Then to install it on your truck just use some bolts and nuts or you can rivet them back on your choice.

 

Maybe if you find a vehicle you can get both doors and then you have everything in front of you for checking.
I am waiting to make the switch to pwr, got the doors off an 01 or 02 XLT, lucked out.
The OEM method may cost a little more but in the long run your get parts that will work.

Or you could go to the JY and get the regulators and motors out, then just order a switch kit and wire it up from there easier than messing around with a lot of splicing.

 

I had put in a Calibri universal kit but used my own switches and relays. I had got lock actuators and keyless entry with it too. Worked great when I first put it all in and looked really good. Windows automatically rolled up anytime I locked the doors by remote, it was cool. Window motors always had problems though and completely died after about 18 months. Took out everything a few weeks ago and went back to the good old reliable manual cranks. Only way to convert is to use factory parts IMO whether its JY parts or new.

 

How's the conversion going?

 

Did everything plug and play? I would love power windows and locks and can find power doors the same color as my truck.
