How do you remove the jack?

Hello, this is my first post on these forums, but I have been doing mods to my ranger for a little while.

I am trying to install a sub box behind my seats and need to remove the jack. I have all of the parts of the jack removed, except the large (about 3" long) bolt that comes straight out of the ground.
It appears to be spot welded to the underside of the chassis. Is there a good way to get this out? All I could think of was to hack saw it off, then grind it down.

I have a '97 standard cab ranger.

Thanks in advance.

I mean the bolt, I have to remove the entire thing to fit the sub box.

Ya, I believe that its 3 bolts holding the metal tray or whatever you want to call it that holds the jack and accessories.

you shoulda done what Ryan said, drill a hole in the box, then put the box over it and put a nut on the inside, it would make it harder to steal.

If only I could... The bolt runs right into my sub. And im no expert, but I think if the sub has a large hole in the coil, that is a bad thing.
I'll just hack it off, and use some torx bolts to secruce it.

Plus if your sub box is bolted down and then gets stolen insurance can cover it.
