How to replace your armest trim cover on a Ranger 2004 and later models 60/40 set
Hi guys.
Here some picture on how to replace your armrest cover.
Easy, not to panic to brake a thing.
I assume that you had your armrest box out of the seat assembly. If do not know how, let me know to post another thread.
Once you get your armrest box out, you ned to get your lid out if the way.
The lid or top cover has two pivots that allows it to move up and down.
The pivots are at the back section as you can see on the pictures.

Next step:
Having your lid out, you will need a star screwdriver socket size T15 to get the screws out.
Now, lets work on the lid cover first.
First, remove carefully the foam stickers. There are two foam stickers that cover the screws.
With a screwdriver, and working on the corner, lift and pull up with the tip of the screw, then with your nails or finger, as show in picture. The less damage to the sticker, the better.

Now, with stickers out, lets get the 4 screws that holds the cover.
2 on the front where you had removed your stickers.
starting on one corner, with your screwdriver, dig and pull appart the covers. You need to start from one corner, then going around unlocking the plasticc locks AROUND. You may hear some crunching from the plastic rubbing. That's ok. Maybe, you may break some plastic locks, that's ok.
And whala.....there you had it.

Now. Lets get with the box.
A little trickier, but not difficult.
Around the edge, you may notice a plastic ring. See pictures for more details.
We need to remove that ring carefully. This ring hold the cloth to the box.
Starting from one corner, preferrably the back corner. Stick your screwdriver from INSIDE the ring, not the outside.
Pull that corner. You may use another screwdriver to hold the section pulled out while working around. The ring had the locks facing inside. See pictures.
Once the plastic ring out, take the cover out. And you are done taking it out.
Nice, easy and like a pro.

The ones with the separate Arm Rests !
Also the Arm Rests are thicker.
Terry,
Good to see you are putting in an effort for the group and the Sale.
I am going to “have-to" buy seat covers from you !
