I got the seat out, this was pretty easy. It's a T55 that I used but I think it may be a t60 - the 55 felt a little bit wobbly.
Putting them back in - was harder. Everything lined up OK - just OK.
I had to wrestle a little to get the bolt holes all lined up enough to actually screw in the bolts.
Fun job in all though, and the seat is much better on the back!
Nice! I have leather 2001 Explorer seats in my truck, and they also came from the junkyard. As soon as I sat in them, I knew they had to go in my truck. The bolstering is insane and feels like a racecar. Huge upgrade compared to my stocks that had nothing wrong, just weren't comfortable.

I considered that - especially when I found out how many other seats are compatible with the Ranger. At the end of the day I am a boring ol pickup driver that thinks it should be a bench seat, or as close as you can get (for me lol)

do the explorer seats just bolt right in? My seats are basically collapsed so this swap is intriguing

They did on my Extended Cab 4 Door. I can't remember the specifics of which trucks it works on though, because they don't normally bolt in to Regular cabs. Sometimes you can swap tracks, but that's not guaranteed as some were welded to the seat base. It also generally only applies to 1995-2001 Explorers as the others have different tracks.
I did have to enlarge the holes on the front two mounts of my seats, but that's mainly because the Explorers use a smaller seat bolt than Rangers.
