Does anyone know if the seat backs on the 60/40 seats are changeable from side to side? My drivers seat back is lacking support but the passenger seat back is like new. Can I swap them side to side? 1999

 

No, I don't think so.

"Lacking support"?

Is the lever broken or does the seat back no longer lock in place?
There are fixes for that.

 

Foam is worn out or nearly worn out. I can feel the bar at the base of the back. Not comfortable. There is almost never a passenger so swapping the seat backs would have been an easy fix for me. I guess I will need to start looking for replacements instead. Thanks.

 

Call local upholstery shops, they can often replace the foam back without removing the seat, and do it while you wait.

 

New seat foam bottoms are available or remove the seat cover, get a piece of foam and some spray adhesive and cut out the bad then glue a new piece in. I used be 4 1/2 side grinder with a cut off wheel to rough cut the foam, then a grinding wheel to get it close. Put the cover back on and your done
