Here's the deal. I want to put leather buckets in my 01 ext cab but my problem is I'm 6'2 and I've heard that explorer seats sit higher. I have two boys so I really don't want to have to put my seat further back than it is. So if I put power leather seats in will it be able to be lowered enough to make up the height difference and if I use this type of seat what other things will I need to do to make them work ie. power to the motor and seatbelt compatibility. Thanks all for the help.

 

I'm 6'6" and my head barely grazes the ceiling.....you'll be fine. I have tons of play forwards and backwards too.

 

yea i was thinking the same thing. i can sit my seats lower than my stock seats. but i have full power explorer seats too

 

you can lower the power seat pretty good. In my case, the down travel is limited by the plastic trim piece around the seat. Once I go down, the plastic skirt touches the carpet and starts to bend
