Icon10 Junkyard trip

Went to a junkyard with 99offroardrnger and I hit the mother load! OHC, Dome light, and center console. Only thing is I need the arm rest. Brackets good just need the rest itself. I couldn't believe it. So if anyone has an arm rest f/s please pm me. I could also trade my. 06 headlights or my stock radio w/ cd player.

Ken’s is pretty much tapped out but if you don’t mind a little rework you MIGHT find something.
Most Arm Rests for shorty consoles have the broken supports and damaged material but there might be a useable one.

If someone finds a set of red bucket seats (really only need the covers) I would appreciate a call…

Luck on the hunt !

cut your seat. i think im gonna try it. the red seats are there just covered in snow. the blue ones have a 8.8 sitting on them now and they are not worthy of taking them. i'd get to the red ones soo. bills used auto parts im going FRIDAY MORNING

There aren't any 01+ trucks there or within a 10 mile radius unless you consider a gen 3 an fx4

we did stumble across these at one of the yards we went to

I took a trip looking for some stuff last week and it was awesome to roam the yard looking for stuff
I was able to get...

02 Mustang GT dome light
00 Mountaineer overhead console
00 Explorer Visors with lighted mirrors
?? Ranger Splash 3rd brake light with cargo bed lights
Underhood Engine light from the same Ranger

Everything is in the truck except the overhead console and they are really nice upgrades.

Will that mountaineer console fit in a ranger?

Post pics up when and if you put it in.

I don't have it in yet but putting it in place it looks good but a close fit with the visors. It's the exact same as the overhead they have in the 2011 sport trac ads. I'll post up pics when I mount it.

Put the overhead console in tonight... I'm really happy with the result I'll post up some pics when I get some in daylight. Looks great very solid install... there are some gaps to the head liner from the console. In the front fairly large but the visor blocks so doesn't bug me and in the back fairly small as the roof line doesn't follow the curve exactly but again doesn't bother me.

For the install wasn't a straight bolt in and we did extensive modifications to the mounting bracket for things to install looking good.

I just put a 2000 Merc Mountaineer in my 2010 B4000 same console as the pics for the 2011 Sport Trac. I'm very happy with the result but it wasn't a straight bolt in and I had to modify to mount bracket quite a bit as the shape of the roof liner must have been quite different. From the pics it looks like the short console is a little more bolt in but I wanted extra storage bins and the larger console over the smaller and didn't want the temp/compass display as I'm gettting a Gentek51a for that :)

Overall with the visors replaced with Explorer lighted and the dome light out of an 02 Mustang GT I really like the look
