I have an '09 with stock gauges. The back lights only come on when you turn the lights on (stock). I was wondering if there was a way to wire it or modify it some how so that the back lights stay on all the time (whether or not the lights are on. Since I tinted my windows, I can't see my gauges during the day, ha! My Civic has super bright stock gauges that stay on all the time. I was hoping there was a way to do that with the Ranger gauges.

I am guessing you could just turn your parking lights on, I believe the cluster lights turn on when you turn them on. And I have to agree with you about the Civic's stock gauges, I have a 05 and they make the whole interior glow when there on in the dark.

 

the cluster is wired to switched power through the headlamp. you could wire a straight switched wire like a head unit, does that make sense?

 

So I would have to run a separate switch from the fuse box?
