lv2 armrest issues
OH MY....WOW....I would say it's done with. Unless you know how to fiberglass....I'd do that to save it. It would most definately strengthen that HUGE weak spot. Even with epoxy, I think It'll be just so weak, that the first little push on the armrest, it'll snap in half again.
I to agree that Ford really did a crappy job on the design of the console's arm rest.
Jon, How'd you add another support? PICS!!!

Ya know.. with a little bit of fancy woodwork and some vinyl skills.. you could just re-design it to your own, carpet it up with some foam padding behidn it.. and poof, all done nice and fancy! I may have to take a look at mine someday - I know its all cracke dup, just need to get it fixed sometime.. and I'm lazy :-D
I ghettofabbed it. You know inside the door panels that thick square foam pad with the circle cut out in the middle? It's adhesive'd onto the door body and up towards the front. I took the circle cutout portion, unstuck it from the door, and stuck it to the bottom of my armrest lol. It works decently but could be better. (it's not quite tall enough but its better than nothing). It's not really pic worthy but it was free. I might try a hockey puck next
I just broke mine last week. Hopped in the truck and leaned over to get keys off my belt loop and put all my weight on the center console and snapped the thing. I was not thrilled. Whoever had the truck before me even put a support on the front of the arm rest and I still broke it. Pretty sad since I only weigh 145 pounds. Epoxy time!
