I have no experience with A/M window/lock conversion kits but I have heard many people say that this is a good brand. Just one more option to consider:

Switch kits are available from the same companies who sell the window lifts and power locks:

XLT window wiring

I bought a truck with a junkyard manual door. Went to pull a part and bought the door harness and Door lock parts. Ordered a window regulator from eBay. Didn’t have to change the glass. Truck already had an electric mirror on it for some reason. I found out the wiring was already in the dash on an XLT and the plug is behind the passenger kick panel. Didn’t fool with any alarm stuff or door switches. Plugged in the harness and everything works from the driver side. May find a door panel with switches some day. But for now the passenger just has to ask for window service. Oh I left the crank in the door so I don’t have a hole in the door panel. Hope this helps it was a fairly simple Plug & play operation.

WHAT IS NEEDED TO GO ELECTRIC WINDOWS

why do you need full door panels, not just the black insert?
and what would i need besides the parts in the door? What do i need for wiring?

I havent figured out where I'm gonna buy the spal kit from yet but I'll do some research and get back to ya.
couple more questions do you have an XL or a splash or an XLT if you do the wiring is already in the dash. question two do you have a Pull-A-Part in your area they are over the south east. if not you need to find junk yard that will let you get parts. I recommend you buy new mirrors and window regulators from eBay or about $75. The plastic inserts won’t fit the manual door panels that’s why you have door panels. If you go to the junkyard the panels will probably have the switches in them. I don’t know what you’ll have to pay for them they are about 20 something dollars at Pull-a-part. You will need door wiring for both Doors Depending on if you want to install keyless entry you will need all the lock parts and actuators from a donor vehicle. Female plugs are behind the kick panels on both sides. Just plug everything up and it should work. I wouldnt fool with the alarm crap I don’t know what you might get into with computer problems possibly a re-flash. just don’t hook it up It don’t have one now so it should work fine without it mine does. Cost all together maybe $250.
***NOTE***
I don’t have keyless entry so I can’t tell you about that.
hope this helps...

97 Ranger manual to power windows

Recently purchased a wiring harness for my manual door that the PO installed before I got the truck. I also installed a power mirror then plugged up the HaRNESS behind the kick panel and after replacing the power mirror switch everything work nicely. So I ordered a power window regulator and installed it yesterday plugged it up but the window switch on the driver side would not raise or lower the window I checked and there’s no voltage coming through to the power motor. I do not have a window switch installed on the passenger side the harness is just hanging there with nothing plugged in to it. My question is would the switch on the driver side work without a switch being installed on the passenger side i.e. does the voltage pass through the passenger side switch before it gets to the window motor? The switch on the driver side appears to be working when depressing it I get about 2.4 MV on the plug for the passenger side window motor. I have tested the window motor with a 12 V battery and it works. Any help with this question will be appreciated and I apologize for quoting in on an old post.

PS: Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the passenger side door?
