Help lowering driver's seat in 2003 Ranger?

I have a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge 4x4 Ext. Cab Pickup. I am 6'4" tall, and feel like I am sitting about 1" - 2" too high in my truck. My seats are not power anything. Basically, the seat goes forward or backward, and reclines. I want to lower my seat about 2". What is the best course of action for getting this done? I don't want to spend a lotof money, and I am perfectly fine with the 60/40 bench seat. I just need a little more head room, and some room under the steering wheel so that I fit better. Any ideas?

make a custom mount on the seat..brackets will need to be made but Im sure you can come up with something if you have access to a welder and a brain..

if you dont have the means of doing all that, find a pair of explorer bucket seats at a junk yard. even if you go leather they wont be too pricey. just be sure they're power. they go much lower then a stock ranger seat. and usually bolt right in. all you have to do is wire them up.

Could have an upholstery shop take some foam out, and alter the cover. would be easier than cutting and welding new tracks.
