missing bulb carrier... *sigh*

was going to do an LED conversion on some of my lights as they weren't working. Well, took apart the 4x4 switch, and well, there is no bulb. And looking at John's take aparts, there is supposed to be a carrier that the bulb goes in. Well that is missing too. *sigh* so where can i get replacement bulb carriers? my light selector switch is out too, and i wonder if that is missing the bulb and carrier. So if anyone has ideas where to get spares please let me know.

(yes, i already looked on ebay, and i'm afraid to call my ford dealer because it'll prob be a lot of $$$$ from them!)

Check the biggest yellow pages phonebook that you've got under "Auto Parts-Used".

lmao, the largest phone book for this area is like MAYBE half an inch for white and yellow pages combined and covers a HUGE area. if i find anything it looks like it will be a long haul to find the parts!

Dude! If there is even one salvage yard in NH, you'd be set. NH is a tiny state man. I drive through there all the time. ROFFL!

lmao, dude, those are all retail dealers! not a single one has a salvage operation! i called one a lil north of there, and the new style ranger and explorers are too "new" for them to have! lmao! they gave me a number of another place even further north.

and yes, i know NH is small compared to a lot of places. but there isn't really that much here! lots of trees... not many people, not many cars, and not a ton of dead cars!

You're not far from VT or MA either, don't limit yourself to just NH.

You could try to see if any members here on the site have the part lying around. I know I keep all sorts of little things of such nature, but no, I don't have one of these.

yea, that's one of the reasons i posted it... hoping that maybe we have a kinda soul on here that might have "spare parts" left over from a mod or something. I have called three junkyards so far, and nada. i'll keep searching... but if anyone on R/F has spares, i would be more than grateful for an offer!

I know Gearhead61 is selling the switch for the headlights. His has the bulb carrier, but alas it is only for the headlight switch, as I understand the 4x4 and headlight carriers are different. But if you need one for your headlight switch, he has it.
