They'll light up fine Cam if you put the LED's like Jp7 has in the right places... Blue shines well through blue!

The Led's should be in tomorrow, so maybe I'll have it finished up tomorrow night? I'm definitely not studying for my Cal2 test if my LED's come in! hahaha

Both... Math is cake. Anatomy and Physiology this semester is kicking my ***. Only 3 more classes until I get my first degree!!

So my LEDs arrived today! I instantly started cutting them into strips and installing them. I've got about 80% of them soldered together. I tested them with my 12v adapter and it looks so good. All I have left to do now is paint my needle hats and install my white faces. Here's a pic of the strips. I may end up adding more, not sure..

Excellent job - I have more tips based on what I see but I need to run an errand then I'll come back with the tips.

looks good, can't wait to see it all finished, i wonder if my needles were actually clear, i think they were molded orange but painted also? kinda weird...are you going to be painting the boots red?

lol you mean Hats...

Black faces have clear needles with orange paint

White faces have orange needles with white paint

Black face needles ftw, white faces themselves ftw. (IMO anyway)


I still like the "rusty remixed" 2003-2006 GM needles because they are different, and nobody really has them. Its nice to know the black face ones will work with any color though.

boots....hats....same thing haha, i think i might be going to a wreckers soon so maybe i'll look for some of those clear needles

The rusty needles only cost 60$, I mean it's nice to get a whole cluster for about that same amount off of ebay, but it is a good option if you can't find a black face.

That sucks you have to pull all that stuff apart again.

I have it almost all done. Just a little more tweaking, and i'll pull my stock cluster out and swap the faces. I'm going to add one more strip at the top of the Tach and MPH. The needles dont like up too great. I'm not sure if I'm going to order new ones. I split my finger wide open while working on it lastnight, and am going to get stitches on it today! haha. Here's a few updated pics!

The positive is the bottom tab on the center bulb slot (If I remember right)
