Mustang Seats

Looks like I'm picking up a set of 1996 Mustang seats on Thursday for $30. I'm excited but was wondering if anyone knows if they are easy to install. I have an 01 edge regular cab. Will I need new seat tracks? If I do does that mean I'll have to drill into the cab to get the new tracks in?

I was kind of hoping I could just bolt the seats in easily.

I read somewhere they have the same bolt pattern but could be mistaken. I've always wanted some leather Mustang seats for my truck.

Lol. Really have your eyes on those seats huh John?

Eh the guy I was suppose to buy my seats from kind of flaked on me. He forgot to mention the drivers seat was broken. He tried to sell me the passenger and rear seats. Sigh looks like I'll be making a trip to the junkyard.

Will explorer seats bolt in to a regular cab?

I believe that you have to change the seat tracks, unless you find a 2 door explorer sport. The reg cabs and the extended cabs use different seat frames, and I think the Exploders use the extended cab rails. But I *heard* that the Sports use the reg cab rails.

Either way, swapping out the rails ain't that hard, just drill out the rivets and replace with bolts.

If the price is right and you pay the shipping cost. Than we should be able to do it.

I heard that the ranger tracks would bolt up to the explorer seats....I was planning on doing explorer seats but have yet to find some in good condition for less than $75 (or $130 for both)

Probably have to swap out the seat tracks, but I wouldn't know without looking at them. If you get them, let me know how it works out, I'm interested.

BTW Javier, you gonna come down when I'm in your neck of the woods in a couple of weeks?
