My OHC MODS!!!

Well I wanted to put 3 switches somewhere where they are hidden from my girlfriend. so she cant mess around with my hella's and neon's and l.e.d.'s when im driving. because once before when we were driving together. she decided to put my hella's on but they had their covers on, so she no longer has switch privileges.
So I thought my OHC garage door compartment would be a good place to have them. but then i thought i could have left the hellas, neon's, or l.e.d.'s on. so i wanted to have a visible light indicator showing that my lights were on or off. so i decided to take out the garage door button and construct a 3 l.e.d. light indicator, one for every switch. so i can see if the lights were on or off.

so to sum it up...
3 switches in ohc
3 l.e.d. light indicator for each switch.

and i got also got a new ohc led light from superbrightleds.com
T10 PCB series LED Lamps Specifications
i got the 24 led board.

here the pics... hope you like it... not complete yet. still need to wire up leds and hella and neons and led light indicators

That looks great. I really like the idea. It keeps the stock look but gives you function.

at least your lights arent on your roof and hids when someone thinks its funny to flip them on and break the switch at the same time so they are stuck on it was a nice ticket!! so no mine are mounted on the driver side roof so no one can get to them i really like your idea but its still passenger reachable lol

Mine got mounted today and the wires are partially run. (no pic yet)
If tomorrow turns out a good day then it might have power, then there is only the hook up for the relays.

Great idea! I had that idea too, but I never got around to mounting my lights on the new truck so I certainly never got that far with it. You've done some great work so far!

Another question… the material you used to make the insert where the Compartment Button would be, what is it; looks like aluminum ?

Thanks
