Need new thresholds

I am updating the interior of my ranger. Standard cab.

I need to replace those plastic strips that screw into the floor and hold the carpet down (along the bottow of the doors).

Tried ebay - nothing. My friendly neighborhood auto recycler had nothing either. Anyone know where I could find a set?

They are only about $16~$22/apiece from Ford. Both of mine are cracked at the rearmost screws. Haven't a clue how they got that way.

Someone tightened the screws down to hard. Thats how mine cracked at least.

That would be the obvious reason. I don't really recall wanting or needing to tighten them down, I just noticed one day that they were cracked. Maybe I or someone stepped on them getting in the back. I dunno.

My plastic thresholds are also cracked. LMC truck catalog has them in billet aluminum. They call them "door sill plates" in the catalog. They are $29.95 for a set.

I saw them, but I wasn't sure how "Whitney-ized" they would look. I like aluminum, but i'd like to see a photo of them in a Ranger before I decided if they look out of place or not. They might look great (to me), or they might look all wrong (again, to me). They ought not crack like the oem plastic ones though.
