Well i purchased a 99 explorer OHC from ebay yesterday. I purchased the temp sensor, ohc, wiring, and the bracket for 70 dollars shipped. I was just curious to see what you guys thought of the price. I think that is all i need to hook it up, besides Johns car domain. I might have to remove some of the back portion of the OHC because my sunroof might be in the way of the rear portion.

price is normal for ebay...i usually sell just the OHC for around that price on ebay..
Next time you should ask if anyone is selling a ohc on here first..might get a deal..i just sold my auto dim mirror,OHC,bracket,temp sensor,wireharness and A/C panel for 110 shipped....auto dim rear view mirros are bad *** =D

 

Ya, after i purchased it i looked into it more and realized i should have tried to get the whole deal. I am on a tight budget anyways, but it will be in the future plans.

 

i wonder if your wire harness came with the rear view mirror hook up
did ur OHC have a sunroof button or garage opener?

 

garage door opener. Would it make a difference if the explorer had the mirror ?

 

i doubt it... you should be able to add one sometime in the future without any problems

 

u can always add the rear veiw mirror...but the harness that conncts the mirror is important..i think all you would need to do is tap in to power in the ohc

 

Yes, John posted a how to and he said its alot easier with the ohc installed. Maybe once i get it installed i will look for someone who has just the mirror and the harness for sale. The automatic headlights is the feature i really want.

 

cool..i got a xtra wire harness for that that goes to the OHC if u ever need it....I get Explorer parts all the time Just pm me and ill see what i got in storage
