Not a Ranger purchase, but more debt...

Got the wife a new Mazda 3 S-GT 5-door with all the bling short of GPS and leather. It is Strato Blue Mica. Really beautiful car. 5-speed auto with triptronic/manumatic, HID lights, etc. etc.

Got a great buy since it is a left-over '06. Traded in the Protege 5.

Well, I continue to be poor with car payments, but we are both happy with it.

Admittedly these pictures suck, but it is cold as hell outside.

The interior has cool blue mood lighting and the instruments have been set so that when the lights are on the rings around the edges glow blue with the mood lighting. BLING.

They are awesome. I wanted one for a while, and my late brother Sam was pushing me towards a Mazdaspeed version, but my wife talked me into a 2004 Ranger 4x4 as a daily driver (which I love BTW), but then she decides she wants one!

Women...

Now if I can keep her from trashing it...

It is getting a CAI (that I make) and that is it. Wider tires when replacement time comes.

I'd like to do a header and exhaust, but my wife hates the sound of a loud 4cyl. I do too, but with the right resonator added, I can make them sound nice and mellow. I am going to look at the exhaust that is on it when it gets warmer and see how good it is. It it isn't bad, then I will keep it and MAY add a header.

Wow, that's a pretty car! Nice score!

And hey, there's nothing sure in this life but debt and taxes, or so they say... (did I get that right?...)

Yeah, I didn't think it was a SPEED. The wife and I have been looking at the 3's and 6's both in the speed version... The Speed 3 halls a$$! 0-60 in like 5.7 Seconds which is only .1-.2 seconds less then a Mustang GT! Both stock.

Still a super nice car! We just paid off our Focus, so now thelooking is on.. but I am sure we will wait until we have some bread in the oven before we purchase another car.

I wanted the Mazdaspeed version and so did my wife. Sam would have wanted her to have one (talked about it a lot before his fatal accident), but she just had too much trouble with a standard, so we thought she would be better off with the regular S version. The 160hp Duratec/MZR is plenty of motor for this car as a daily driver and is torquey as hell. The 5-speed manumatic is very well suited to the engine's powerband. Don't miss a manual in this car. Nice drivetrain all around.

Wow, I knew they wer the sam emechanically as the Focus, but I didn't realize they shared so many parts. The seats are Identicle to my Moms 2005 Focus ST. It is one of the few small cars I wouldn't mind owning.

Nice car, my sister-in-law drives one just like it.

The mazda 2.3 shares the same block as my Ranger's engine.
Just tuned and turned differently.
