Icon5 OHC: Wire question

I cant seem to find the speed sensor wire behind the dash. Its suppose to be a grey with black strip. I found that wire in the passenger kick pannel but not behind the radio. Truck is a 2004. Any input from somebody whos done it in a 04 would help.

Thanks

I think I got mine from there too. I wad scared to do it at first but I called the dealer and asked them if im liking for a blk/try wire behind the dash will it be the same wire all the way through the truck and they say yes.. so if you find one it should be the same one

The 2004's had a gray/black at the Smart Junction Box under the PS kick panel. It was eliminated in 2005+.

For any of the 2004~06 Rangers, the GY/BK wire can be found in the bundle that passes through the firewall near the p-brake pedal. It is not present near the radio in these years because there is no longer a GEM there.

So it was at the passenger kick panel. What is the GEM anyway?
