Primer first?

Ok Im painting the plastic pieces around my doorhandles and I was wanting to know if using primer is a must bc on my bezel and a/c ***** I just sanded them down and put 3 coats of paint on and then 3 coats of clear. But these pieces Im painting now are touched more often and I want them to last.

if you you a enamal use and edhesive promotor for plastics helps kill release agents then you can just paint right after.

well i use dupot paint they have a promoter. you scuff up the part with like a 3M pad then use like Precleano to clean the oils off the part then you wipe on the adhisive promoter. wait i think its like till it dies then just paint on the paint in the coats desired

Your going to want to primer any peices that you will be painting. It doesnt matter what it is. Primer helps the paint stick much better to the peice!

um dude...dude...plastics are a different ball game when it comes to painting yes in a way what your saying is good. BUT the adhesive promoters thats the piont of them they kill the mold release agents on the plastic so no more oils. and helps the paint bond to the plastic if you follow that persedure you will never have the paint flake off. the adhisive promoter is like the "primer" for plastics...

If you havent primered the other peices and you primer the door handles..the color might turn out little different shade

I would have primered first with everything...no matter what
