You'll have to pull the radio out with it. Do you have the factory radio?

The bezel as in the whole plastic unit? Remove two screws, pop radio out, unplug radio. Pull out the bezel, its held in by a few tabs around it.

you also have to undo the cigarette lighter, 4X4 switch (if so equipped), and other switches depending on your options. just thought I'd be Captain obvious and point all that out.

There's a special tool used to remove the factory stereo but I have no idea what it's called and where to get it.

You can find them at any part store. Factory ford radio removal tool. They look like two U's.

I'm trying to do the same thing and I have everything out except for the 12V power supply. It won't budge at all. Is there an easy way to get this thing out?

I know this sounds really dumb, but pull towards the inside or the outside of the bezel? It looks like if I pull towards the inside that the cover wont be able to go through but I don't want to rip the cover off trying to pull towards the outside.

For a standard 12V outlet, just pull straight back away from the bezel

Thanks alot! I'm gonna keep pulling away at it til it either comes out or the bezel snaps. Good thing I don't have classes for another 2 weeks.

Thanks alot for the help guys. I took a pair a pliers to it and it twisted right out. Everything's painted and drying right now. I'll be sure to post some pics when it's all done.
