Seat install -Help

I bought 02 explorer buckets, thinking they would bolt into my 02edge EXT.
but when I removed the old ones, and went to put these in, the bolt locations are way off, and when its sitting there, the seat is too tall, where the steering wheel is to even put your legs under...

soo.. im wondering if these werent Explorer seats, or I need to do alot of customizing, to make them fit, or are they just not going to work? I never actually saw the truck, so I dont know for sure theyre explorer, I assume they are though

'01 is the newest Explorer seats you can use without a lot of customizing. The seats you got are out of an Explorer.
