Some flat stock from the seat mounting point on the floor, bent up to a height you like will fix the buckle positioning problem.
After bending add a brace to the inside of the bent steel for support then paint.

Make sure to add a spacer to the other mounting point to keep things level.

ranger024x4 ,
To me the black seats would be worth the trouble needed to adapt, if necessary, to your OEM Ranger Mounts.
The Ranger mounts should unbolt and then you will need to see what is needed to remove the bracket/slider from the Explorer Seats, make some adapter brackets if necessary to mount the two pieces together.

Question though… you have an 03 FX4 Lvl ll, are you thinking of mounting the Explorer Seat in the FX4 ?

I think Grev is trying to grab some Level II seats.

yes I am. I love leather, and they are heated, so its a double win for me.

The heated seats might not be too easy to hook up. I know some Fords had a separate little "computer" or module that controlled the heated seats. My F150 has Black leather seats but they're not heated. I wanted to find some factory Black, heated Lariat seats but after reading the swap isn't an easy one as the seat heat is controlled by the climate control unit for your heating and AC.

A heating element is a heating element. I can make a relay harness and have an aftermarket switch.

Apparently on the new Ford vehicles they cycle on and off. Maybe this is wrong but that is just what I've read and I can't confirm since I don't have them factory. I'm not sure I'd want it to run all the time. If you've got it all figured out then thats great! Post up the info and if your truck doesn't catch fire after a while then I might do my F150.

My aftr mkt seat heaters come with a module so I am thinking there has to be a separate control module that will work.

the heaters we use at work only requite a + lead and a ground to hook up. they are one when the switch is flipped.

the ones i have in my truck and my car are the same. however, they have a relay built in to the harness and they get hot, cool down a minute, then get hot again. it has to be controlled by the relay, but i'm not sure how.
