seatbelt locking issue..

Hey All,

So im doing some interior mods and in the process i removed my all my interior trim and seat belts. The seat belts are detached from the truck and everything but i wanted to screw them back into the truck temporarily and i can't because they are locked. Seems like no matter what i do i can't get more slack from the seat belts. I have all three pieces. If anyone has an idea of what to do to get these seatbelts unstuck that would be great!

Thanks,
Andrew

they have to be in their correct position to unlock. bolt the retractor back in and it should unlock.

Yeah that was totally it. When they were completely removed they were locked and couldn't do anything about it. Then i tried bolting them back in and.. of course they worked I then took my other seatbelt and tried unlocking that without bolting it to the car and i had to pull a few times in the correct position (straight and up) then it worked. Some tricky mechanism in there that only unlocks when its upright
