Sport Trac Cluster and Mustang Dome Light Installed

On Tuesday I hit up the local JY with my friend. After $60 and a couple hours I left the place with a Mustang dome light and the only ST cluster they had.

I installed the dome light when I got home I installed the dome light. It took all of 10mins to install and its so much better than the stock one. Today I got the gauges all cleaned up and installed. I reused the stock plastic with the black around the gauges and rolled the odometer.

After I installed everything and played with the ST gear selector I found that it is just like a sticker and that it can be pulled off and put back on. So maybe tomorrow if its not raining I am going to swap it with the stock one. I don't mind the stock one I just think it will look better with the ST one.

Looks good. What year ST did that come out of? I was thinking they were silver.

You also need some gas

Did you do anything with the speedometer??? IMO, i'd put the black faced odometer in there from your stock gauges, and keep the stock black shift indicator. Looks better IMO.

Here's a how-to I made for dealing with gauge swaps and odometer rolling of your new odometer....

Only thing silver in Expos are the heater controls in the white faced gauge'd trucks. '03 Ranger XLT's got the silver faced gauges that are just like the expo white faced, but silver.

Great mods, two of my favorite. I have the same, just I swapped the ST cluster red needles with the original white ones.

I used your thread to do the odometer and used the AA trick for the speedometer. If it wasn't for that thread I would have never figured out how to swap/roll them. The gauge selector is probably stay black but I dunno what it is with the white odometer but I like it.

I fixed it for ya. But she is a mutt. The vet thinks she has some Lab/Rotti/Hound in her.

Well they actually came out of an 01 Sport. But they are the same as the ST. I will have to get gas tomorrow, I was going to get it today but when I finished the install I was too lazy too stop by the gas station.

Everything that Shane said is dead on. Mine came out of a Contour. Looks brand new and the bulbs that are in it are the ones I pulled it with. When I was at the JY I found a Windstar, few Taurus' and Thunderbirds with the same dome light. I found a few gray ones, a dark green, dark blue and I think one black one.
