stupid Q about passanger airbag

Do I use the second set of keys that came with my truck to activate the passanger airbag from off to on while I have my first set of keys in the ignition. I know its probably the dummest question ever, but I need to turn it on for the sake of my girlfriend. Thanks

alright, seems like I tried that, but nothing happened. I know the truck doesn't have to be on, im just asking if the primary keys have to be turned on to the battery position to activated the airbag.

It is just a simple switch. Put the key in, turn it, remove the key. The truck doesn't need to be running. In fact, you could remove the engine and battery, hammer out the ignition, and saw the steering wheel off. It will still work.

How do you figure? I told you all you needed was a FORD key to turn the Fin thing.

"Do I use the 2nd set of keys that came with my truck to activate the passanger air bag"

NO you do not, ANY ford key will work...

No need to thank 1 person when there are others who helped

Alright my mistake. My apoloigies to you and the other people trying to help me. I guess I was in one of those defensive moods again. I go on this site a lot now and don't want my reputation to suck, so once again I apologize for thanking only the person who had the right answer. I admit I was a dick.
