Post Tall driver... new ranger halp

Hey! First post.

I picked up a 2008 FX4 a little while ago, never noticed until a few weeks later that if I sit straight up and try and stretch... there is a big metal roof in my way. Is there anyway to drop the seat an inch or two. My seats are like brand new (truck only had 50,000km) on it when I got it. Im not very automotive saavy, more of a computer tech. However willing to learn assuming its somewhat doable for a layman. I googled it up and I saw someone mention on here using explorer bucket seats? another mentioned getting the seat just re-foamed (taking some out, sew it up). What are yalls thoughts?

Just me but no !
Ex seats are a little higher and I do not think they will go down any appreciable amount.

What about leaning the seat back some ?

As a 6'4" guy i noticed the same thing. However I've been pretty happy with my expo seats they do move down but not a huge amount but they do seem to go a little farther back which helps a good but.

Same here, I can't wear a ball cap and drive my truck. Mine has a sort of cove in the top of the head liner where the jump seat are but it doesn't start till after the dome light. I could use that 1.5 inches... I haven't found anything that helped me to fit in besides having long arms and the seat back tilted a bit further then I feel comfortable with. I test drove an XL base Ranger with the cheap work truck interior and I had plenty of head room in it...

Glad to know other drivers of 6'+ have the same issues as myself. I have my seat almost all the way back (Regular cab) because of my height and don't like being on top of the wheel. I'd have it go all the way back if i could reach the damn shifter comfortably. Anyways, not anything you can do about it. I had my 60/40 bench in pieces to have it reupholstered and there isn't any extra foam to remove. Unless you want to be sitting on metal. I have my seat reclined further back and that helped a ton, just hard reaching my shifter.
