trip and miledge not working

trip and miledge not working

Well my damn trip odometer and miledge stopped working and just stays at zero, no matter how many times i reset and punch the damn thing she wont move lol. any fix's for this guys or do i need a new cluster???

On a 94 I used to own ,I pulled the cluster and placed the spray tube on a can of white lithium grease through a hole in the back.Srayed a little without overdoing it. IIRC I had to angle it to hit the gears driving the odometer.Hit the reset button a dozen times and it started working after that.

the 95+ clusters have a small plastic gear. they break easy. probably easiest to replace the whole cluster.

well looks like im getting an explorer cluster then which one fits guys???

this doesn't sound like a bad thing, i wish mine would break, i wouldn't fix it until i sold it.
