Some 2001-2003 Ranger vehicles built before 11/15/2002 and equipped with power windows/door WARRANTY STATUS: Eligible Under Provisions Of locks may exhibit a loose interior door pull handle New Vehicle Limited on the front door trim panel finish panel. Warranty Coverage OPERATION DESCRIPTION TIME ACTION 050103A 2001-2003 Ranger: 0.3 Hr.
It is not necessary to replace the entire finish panel Remove The Front Door
assembly to resolve the condition. Install a star Trim Panel Finish Panel,
washer on the door pull handle attaching screws. Install Star Washers On
Retainers For Pull Handle SERVICE PROCEDURE One Door
1. Remove the front door trim panel finish panel. 050103B 2001-2003 Ranger: 0.5 Hr. Refer to Workshop Manual Section 501-05. Remove The Front Door
Trim Panel Finish Panel,
2. Remove the screws at each end of the door Install Star Washers On
pull handle and install a #6 (3.5 mm) “external” Retainers For Pull Handle
star washer on each screw (obtain washers Both Doors locally).
3. Reinstall the front door trim panel finish panel ISSUE to the door.
BASIC PART NO. CODE EXTERNAL STAR WASHERS HAVE THE STAR
7022666 33 POINTS LOCATED ON THE OUTER EDGE OF
THE WASHER. A FLAT WASHER OR A SPLIT
LOCK WASHER WILL NOT RESOLVE THE
CONDITION.
