Two days of reading!

I've been reading these forums for the past two days, trying to find out what seats will fit in my truck. Learned a few things, I think!

1. A 1998 standard cab Ranger is the hardest Ranger of all to change the seats in. Just so happens, thats what I have.

2. The closest replacement is a 1999 Camaro, and you still have to drill one hole in the floor.

3. Pre 02 Explorer and Mustang seats will not fit (1998 and up "standard cabs").

4. (2002 and up), Explorer and Mustang seats will not fit (1998 and up "standard cab".

So, guess I'll have take out a bank loan and go back to Ford for some new seats.

Am I wrong?

I'd go to a junkyard before I go to the dealership.

I had to do a seat swap for my truck which is a 97 reg cab. It is only meant to be a two seater but I found some seats with center option out of a 99 reg cab which worked with the existing holes. I did have to muscle it in a little though but they are in and doing their purpose. Unless the 98 was a random seat arrangement between 97 and 99 the seats from 97 or 99 should fit. Just take some measurements and find a junkyard that has some rangers for parts.

Don't mean to hijack, but just have a quick question...

Would Edge seats fit non-Edge Rangers?
