What buckets fit an 2006 reg cab

I am going to spend some time at the local junk yards looking for bucket seats which will easily fit my 2006 reg cab ranger. I read explorers and mustangs of the same year will fit, but will other years fit also? I'm not looking to trade mounting brackets if at all possible. Thanks!

I think you have to swap seat tracks to install most of those seats in a reg cab ranger. I know Scrambler82 made a post in this forum showing what had to be done to make it work.

Yea pretty sure I read that thread like an hour ago (although I cant find it now). So basically unless I'm doing '06 ranger seats, I will have to do some kind of mod?

I don't think it has so much to do with the year as it does the cab style. If I understood Grev's post right, the only seat tracks that will fit in a standard cab is standard cab seat tracks. The Explorer seat tracks will bolt right into an extended cab if you enlarge a hole or two (I can speak from experience on that one.)

don't think anything is a direct bolt in to an 98+ reg cab. although, they did change the tracks again somewhere around 04. the tracks are removable in them, but i'm unsure of anything that would bolt in.

In my 03 EDGE Std Cab I unbolted the Slider Track/Frames and bolted them to the Bucket Seats from almost the same year Ranger.
Explorer Seat will unbolt too but not sure if the Ranger Tracks will bolt up, will need to measure.
Only hassle is that the backs of the seats need to be taken off first before the bottom track and frames.
Take your seats or at least one of them, out of the truck and look at the seat pans to see how the tracks/frame secure to the pans, go from there.

I know on my Sport Trac seats the seat tracks wouldn't be a "bolt on" swap for the stock Ranger seats.
