Haha yeah its pretty big. Theres a lot of stuff to do but then you can also go out and just chill at the beach. The part that we are going shouldn't be busy at all (beach wise) because its mostly 4x4s. Theres a good bit of light houses you can go check out, Jockey's Ridge and the Wright Brothers memorial is right up the road so is a lot of shopping. Up north of Jockey's Ridge is Corolla, NC where you can go to the 4x4 and look for the wild ponys that roam up there. You won't be bored thats for sure

The fishing center has a site for free air so you can air down as much as you want... I may be coming not to sure yet. My family has a beach house at mile marker 7. Oregon inlet is where we go when we're down there. I'll let you know for sure when I know.

I know I haven't been on the site for long, but if everything goes as planned and I have my ranger soon, I'll be down for this. I'm a definite maybe. The whole reason I want a truck as opposed to a car is so I can do camping trips like this. It is a pain in the *** to go tent camping in a Cobra!

Do they let you drive on the beach up there?

You can drive on the entire beach down near the campground. Up north you need permits for Nags Head and Kill Devil Hills and then I think Corolla you don't need anything. I'm going down this weekend, wooooo hoooooo

I'll talk to the rangers this weekend to make sure it won't be a problem for us to come down as a group. One more day!

Ok guys got a little more information. For a group of 7 to 30 people it will only be 4 bucks a person to camp. I don't know if you have to have a certain amount of people on each campsite or what not though. So make sure you've posted if your coming and if you've posted make sure your going to be there. I don't know if there is a deposit up front or anything either for the group but I'll find it out. I can say we got there at like 3 on friday and we had no problem getting a site so getting a space shouldn't be a problem.
