Looks like we should be good to go. All vehicles have to be off the beach by 10PM. You can have a fire on the beach until midnight. Pretty much all the beach around OI is open for driving so we should be good to go there. 2 vehicles per campsite, max 6 people, blah, blah.

 

Alright Trent, sounds good. So you're just staying saturday night right?

 

Yeah, I need to send you that money. Talked to a guy on the f150 site that goes down there every weekend and he said you shouldn't have an issues finding a spot on saturday morning.

Is it worth it to drive up to Corolla on Sunday? Never been up there before

 

This time of year i hear its crowded up that way. Its not as nice a Hatteras or ocracoke, imo that is

 

You've never been to corolla! Its real nice! I hate the 35mph all the way up there, but there is like 11 miles of beach driving one way I think, I can't remember how far it is! Plus u might see wild horses

 

ill be on corolla on sunday, im coming to the obx this saturday until next saturday but ill be in whalehead ( about 4 miles from corolla beach entrance)
some rangers would be nice because all my friends have trucks way bigger than me lol
a newer expedition on 38s, a 95 f150 on 40s and a new 250 on 40s lol

 

Ive never been up towards Corolla either. I wouldn't mind the drive. It would be something different and interesting. We'll have to discuss it when we get there.

 

I though about it myself. I really like Corolla. The houses on the way up there ae pretty nice. I can't think of anywhere with Air until u get back to Kitty Hawk though, hope someone has an airtank/pump. Its awesome, Hwy 12 just makes a turn and ends in the sand at the beach. Right at the entrance is where the richest person on the beach sits-the tow man...lol.

U have to pak in middle of the beach if u do park so others can drive either in front or behind u. When me and Sara went, on the way back, there was a storm coming, so the entie beach had cleared out. It was fun going 55 mph through the soft stuff!

 

Ah cool, yeah I wouldn't mind making a trip up there.

I'm excited now! You guys want to grill out some burgers and dogs for lunch Saturday? I can pick everything up if you want to chip in 5 bucks or something. I'll have my grill with me too

 

I'm game Trent! That actually makes me hungry now :( mmmm grilled burgers! Ill give 5 dollars or more!
