I suggest last weekend in Jan, because the long range forecast says : Light snow showers, mild.
HOWEVER Feb 5-6 will be rain and snow showers.
Feb 12-13 will be snow showers and BITTER COLD.

ok, so looks like my idea is out..... but, if the meet is on the first or second weekend in Feb, YOUR GONNA BE SORRY. temps will be around 0 with wind chills around-30.
However... temps on the date i suggested: 35 and sunny. Guaranteed.

• WHO: Ranger Owners!
• WHAT: Annual MN Ice Meet

Gives people over a month to BOOK their calendars. I'd also be fine with changing to a restaurant closer to Round Lake if any one knows a good one up in Plymouth (ANDY???). We just went to Suzi's last time so figured why not.

 

Yeah whenever is fine with me, took the truck out on the hwy tonight and it was much better.

we just need to get people to get the date off or no other plans, not everyone will be able to go, but we are trying to plan for the most people available.

 

ODD... this thread was made in October, which gave everyone 3 months to BOOK their calendars. in fact, Nobody even replied to the thread for about a month.

 

umm in plymouth we would have Red robin for burgers, solos for pizza, and then all the stuff in arbor lakes area like granite city, famous daves etc.

I'd be game for Granite City. Love their home brews! Hell, Solos is great pizza as well.

john, you lived in MN, moved to SD, then back to MN, now back to SD.
so, can we plan on you moving back to MN around 2012, 2013???

 

I never technically moved back, got a 2 year contract job at a nuke plant because my company in South Dakota was cutting pay and jobs. I am still a SD resident, still have a town house there. Now with my temp job coming to an end I found a job with a better company in South Dakota. I do not see myself moving back ever unless I need work. I love South Dakota.

Yep my family is still here. I would go to this meet, but I start work on the 28th and my last day here is the 25th. Can't have fun and move at the same time.

Just wondering where this round lake is located at, i'm guessing there is quite a few more than one "round lake" its kinda by Andover right?

i have a friend with a ranger that might swing out otherwise i'll pick him up if my gf doesn't ride with.

 

yeah its up in Andover near me. hwy 10 to round lake blvd. north (about 2-3miles) and it goes right past the lake
