dont worry, with my rigging strap, i can secure it comfortably to any vehicle...

d-rock - if your buddy comes with his dirtbike, he will have more fun then the rest of us, cause there is bucket loads of trails you cant even start to try and get a truck through.

ShadowRanger08 12-01-2009 11:34 AM

i just wanted to test out a winch on my front hitch :P haha

d-rock 12-01-2009 09:11 PM

Seb_L 12-02-2009 10:33 PM

I'll bring a shovel, tow straps (with and without hooks), shackles, maybe a floor jack just in case, and my winch will be on. And it's movable to any hitch if the cables reach the battery. Used it for the first time a couple of days ago, pulled my roomate like nothing right out of the ditch up a 70* hill. He was trying to flex but got stuck (2wd).

ShadowRanger08 12-03-2009 05:31 AM

its all good. bills before bro's. im pumped and i am hoping we will get away with just having rain. not that i mind the snow, but it will make it more difficult to go off the main road, as everything there is either rock, mud or rock. rock and snow = no traction.

hahaha, just realized, it takes a bunch of canadian boys to organize a meet and wheeling trip in december with the possibility of snow... truly canadian!

reader585 12-03-2009 08:47 AM

We should do a Spring meet. Like late April early May this way we can get in to the mud.

You know your Canadian when. Lol:biggthump

ShadowRanger08 12-03-2009 04:36 PM

proudly canadian! haha and im totally down for a spring meet. the spring thaw will make it so muddy! we best have those winches handy, us 2wd guys are going to get stuck for sure. and hopefully by spring lazler will have some better tires (and hopefully biger then 31s :P)

Lazler 12-03-2009 05:58 PM

Unless i strike oil and make some money i'm not lifting so 31's are going to have to do ;)

ShadowRanger08 12-04-2009 01:19 AM

oh come on, its $200 for a BL, and you've already got stuff for the rear, just crank them bars up!

what kind of rock are we talking about? big stuff like Tought Truck Comp. rock, or "nothing bigger then a small watermelon" rock?

did you really escape from Alcatraz using rain coats as a make shift raft?

the main road is just gravel, and has some sections of exposed muskoka granite. but its just slabs and nothing a civic cant drive over. going of the main road, you will get everything from big slabs at weird and inviting angles, to mud holes, normally the loose rocks are not anything to worry about and are normally found to the sides of trails, being pushed out of the way, and vary from anything the size of a baby fist to some the size of a big block... trust me, nothing to worry about. i dont think you will find anything as extreme as Tough truck Comp, but there are a few sections where a stock truck just wont cut it.....

im going sometime next week to take a few photos and check out the trails i have always wanted to go down, but never had anyone there to help just in case. give everybody coming and those that are missing out a teaser of sorts...

count me in for a spring meet.

ShadowRanger08 12-04-2009 08:19 AM

oh yeah, nice rub it in on the guys that cant make it :P
