You need to make this event at least once in your lifetime!
It kicks off the two weeks of festivities surrounding the Kentucky Derby. World's largest fireworks display and third biggest Air Show (jets fly slow with stunt maneuvers then light 'em up). If you want to stay over night, plan 6 years out. Bring lots of money. Be patient, will be 800k to a million people this year.

Meh. I went last year and the air show was kind of lame compared to others I have seen. The performers were spread out and there was a ton of down time between acts. Not to mention it was way over crowded with rude, smelly smoky people. I may stroll over this year but I doubt it.
